Importance Notice
due to an inquiry to our insurance carrier, the carrier has become aware
than non-members are shooting firearms at the club.
This is contrary to our insurance policy.
As a result, effective immediately no non-members may discharge
firearms on the club property without completing an insurance Waiver,
Release and Assumption of Risk Agreement.
This means that all non-members who wish to shoot at the club on any
range (the shotgun ranges, 200 yard range and rim fire/ archery range) must
sign this release prior to shooting.
This will effect all shooting events to include Trap Shoots, Skeet
shoots, 22 bench rest matches, ARA matches, hunter training classes (both
rifle & bow courses), sight-in day and any non-member guests on the ranges.
A supply of the waivers will be available at the 200-yard range
building for guest shooters.
Any member who allows a guest to shoot on the ranges without first
completing the waiver may face revocation or suspension of their membership.
We regret this inconvenience, but to continue our insurance coverage, we
must comply. (Reminder a member must accompany all non-members not
shooting at a scheduled event/shoot.)
A waiver must
be completed each time a guest comes to the club.

the clean-up day was 4/26. The following members attended: Ron Scarpulla, Gary
Foster, Frank Cicatello, Sherman Richards, Bill Reilly, John & Mary Whitney, Ray
Quam, Larry & Leslie Mannolini, John & Marianne Lang.
The 200 yard range and range house was cleaned.
The clubhouse lawn was raked and trash along Sportsmans Road bordering
the club property was picked up.
Special thanks to Mary Whitney for cleaning the rim fire range of 22
casings, and Larry & Leslie for cleaning the tops of the stoves in the
kitchen. 2) Members are reminded that unwanted Brass casings should be placed in
the buckets on the ranges. Please
dont put trash, steel or aluminum casings and shotshells in the buckets.
Someone has to sort the trash from the brass so we can sell the scrap
brass. 3) We are still trying to
get the insurance company to determine if we need to sign a waiver every time we
come to the range. 4) Bill
Mansfield has offered to assist Scott Reynolds (our web master) in placing a
link on our website so that members can renew their NRA memberships and sign up
new members to the NRA. The club
will get $5 for each renewal and $10 for each new member.
5) Stu Minski reports 10 new gun control bills passed the NYS Assembly.
The bills are pending in the state Senate.
Two bills that may pass are to provide mental health information to
investigators of prospective handgun permits and a bill to require all firearms
not to be of any odd colors like toy guns (22 bench rest shooters beware!)
